Baywindow Bus Drop Spindles And 1" Dropped Adjustable Springplate Kit 1973-79

These all new dropped spindles for Baywindow Buses are designed to fit all buses from 1973 to 1979.

Once installed they will lower the front of your Bay by 6cm.

They can be used with most alloy wheels and also the original 14″ steel wheel fitted to 1973 to 1979 models.

Due to the construction of the spindle the offset of the wheel will be increased by 10mm per wheel.  This means that the wheels will stick further out from their standard position by 10mm.

These new dropped spindles allow you to lower your Bus while keeping the original comfort.

This product has been designed to fit perfectly in place of your original spindle without modification, so all will work normally and the ball joints won`t go to limit of travel.

Will fit all years of bus but will only take the 1973 onwards brake system.

The rear springplates will give a 1 inch drop if installed in the original position but of course you can tweek how long you want to go by installing a extra spline lower if you so wish plus a small amount of adjustment with the grub screws on the springplates themselves.

This is the larger spline size used on late bays.

Note on the Finish

The finish is black zinc passivate.

This is a rust preventative finish which is ideal as a paint undercoat.

Fitted as is they will corrode eventually going a powder white colour, which is the zinc corroding and is to be expected.
