12V 55 Amp Alternator Conversion Bundle Kit With Fuel Pump And Rod - Type 1 Engines

New replacement 12 volt 55 amp alternator fitted with an internal voltage regulator, similar to the alternator fitted to later 74-79, but suitable for all years or when removing the external regulator.

Easy access on the top to change the regulator and get to the internals.

This strap is used to hold either the Alternator or Dynamo onto its stand on all 1200cc to 1600cc based VW aircooled engines fitted into VW Beetles, Karmann Ghia`s or Splitscreen and Baywindow Buses

This kit can be used on all 1200cc to 1600cc VW Aircooled engines with either 30AMP Dynamo`s or alternators.

Will not work with 38AMP Dynamo`s.

Can be used when converting your Beetle from Dynamo to Alternator charging systems.

These universal stands allow you to fit either an alternator or dynamo.

Standard “tilted” mechanical fuel pump for engines fitted with alternators.

Note:- This item can only use a 100mm long push rod

Fuel pump push rod as fitted originally to Type 1 engines with an alternator on vehicles produced after 08/1973

Also fits Waterboxer and 1600 CT engines on Type 25 or T3 buses. 

Measurements: 100mm (Short)

Fitting: These rods are for “alternator” style fuel pumps that have the flush fuel pump lever, so are 8mm shorter than “dynamo” pumps.

Please note when ordering a fuel pump rod, they must match the fuel pump or they can either break the pump if too long, or not pump at all if too short for the fuel pump fitted.
