Solex 34 PICT Carburettor Spacer (9mm thick)

Carburettor spacer plate designed for use with Solex 34 PICT carburettors, commonly required when converting from generator to alternator setups on aircooled VW engines. This spacer raises the carburettor by 9.5mm, providing additional clearance between the carburettor body and the larger alternator housing.

On many alternator conversions, the increased diameter of the alternator can cause interference with the carburettor, particularly on 34 PICT setups. This spacer solves that issue by lifting the carburettor slightly, ensuring proper fitment without contact or vibration issues.

The spacer fits between the inlet manifold and carburettor, maintaining the correct airflow path while also acting as a thermal barrier. By increasing the distance from the engine heat source, it can help reduce heat transfer into the carburettor, improving fuel stability and reducing the risk of vapour-related issues in hot conditions.

With a 68mm hole-to-hole measurement, this spacer is a direct fit for standard Solex 34 PICT carburettor mounting patterns. It is suitable for both standard engines and those running mild performance upgrades.

Installation is straightforward, but longer mounting studs or bolts may be required depending on your setup. It is recommended to use new gaskets above and below the spacer to ensure a proper seal and prevent air leaks.
