Chrome Alternator Strap (Also Chrome Dynamo Strap) - Type 1 Engines - 12 Volt Only
Part Number: AC903401
This chrome strap is designed to securely hold either the alternator or dynamo onto its stand on all 1200cc to 1600cc Type 1-based aircooled VW engines. Commonly fitted to classic VW Beetles, Karmann Ghias, and Splitscreen and Baywindow Buses, this reproduction strap includes the required bolt for installation.
Ideal for restoration projects or those looking to add a bit of visual flair to the engine bay, the strap is finished in single plate chrome. While aesthetically pleasing, please note that this finish is referred to as “Sunny Climate Chrome” – meaning it`s prone to oxidation and rust in damp or cold climates such as the UK. To preserve the chrome finish, regular cleaning and waxing is essential.
