This complete scraper seal kit is designed for VW Beetles fitted with one-piece windows, providing everything required to restore proper sealing and smooth window operation on both doors. Ideal for restorations or conversions, this kit replaces worn, cracked, or loose scrapers that allow water ingress and cause window rattle.
The inner and outer scrapers sit along the top edge of the door, wiping the glass as it moves up and down. Their job is to keep water, dirt, and debris out of the door cavity, protecting internal components such as the window regulator and preventing corrosion. Over time, original rubber hardens and loses tension, reducing effectiveness—this kit restores a tight, weather-resistant seal.
Supplied with metal clip plates and fixing clips, the scrapers are securely mounted to the door frame, ensuring correct alignment and long-lasting fitment. For the best finish, especially around curved edges, a thin bead of Tiger Seal (or similar adhesive) is recommended to hold the ends firmly in place and prevent lifting.
This is a complete solution for both doors and is the ideal companion to a full window rebuild. For optimal performance and smooth glass movement, it is recommended to install alongside new window felt channel guides.
