Beetle Chrome Deck Lid Spring

Replacement OE style chrome deck lid spring for all Volkswagen Beetle models from 1949 to 1979. Designed to replace worn, rusty, weak, or squeaky original springs, this spring helps support and tension the rear engine lid correctly while restoring the clean factory appearance of the engine compartment.

The deck lid spring mounts to the hinge mechanism and provides the tension required to hold the engine lid securely in position during opening and closing. Over time original springs can weaken, corrode, squeak, or snap, causing poor lid operation, rattles, or difficulty keeping the deck lid properly aligned.
