Beetle EMPI Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit With Drop Spindles (Double Drilled, 5x205 + 5x130) - 1950-65

Upgrade your early Beetle`s braking performance while achieving a lowered stance with this complete EMPI front disc brake conversion kit. Designed specifically for king and link pin front suspension models, this kit combines modern front disc brakes with dropped spindles that lower the vehicle by approximately 2½ inches without affecting suspension travel or ride quality.

The brake discs are double drilled to accept both 5×205 wide-five VW wheels using 12×1.5mm wheel bolts and 5×130 Porsche pattern wheels using 14×1.5mm wheel bolts, making this an ideal choice for both restoration and custom applications.

Unlike beam adjusters, dropped spindles retain factory suspension geometry whilst lowering the vehicle, providing improved handling and appearance without compromising ride comfort. The kit includes all major components required for conversion and delivers significantly improved stopping power compared with original drum brakes.
