Beetle Drop Spindle Kit - 1950-65 (For Use With 4 Stud Beetle Brake Discs)
Part Number: AC4060
In Stock at Warehouse 4-5 Day Delivery
These drop spindles are specially designed for classic Beetles and Karmann Ghias with King & Link Pin front suspension (up to 1965) that have been converted to the later 1968-onwards 4-stud disc brake setup. If your early VW is already running the later front disc brake system, these spindles provide the easiest and most reliable way to achieve a clean, controlled front-end drop.
By simply replacing your standard spindles with these lowered versions, the front of your car is dropped by approximately 2½ inches (63mm)—with no cutting, no welding, and no modification to the beam. The suspension geometry remains correct, giving your VW a lowered stance while maintaining factory ride quality. Because the shock absorber mounting point does not change, shorter shocks are not required; however, many owners choose to run gas shocks to minimise tyre scrub on tall stock tyres.
These spindles are engineered specifically for conversions where the early beam uses 1968-on front disc brake components, including hubs, calipers, and bearings.
Important Fitment Notes:
Uses 1968-onwards wheel bearings
Increases front track by approx. ½ inch (12.5mm) per side
Designed for early King & Link Pin beams already converted to 4-stud disc brakes
Sold as a pair
Ideal for Cal-Look cars, lowered classics, Buggies, and Bajas, these spindles offer a straightforward, bolt-on solution to achieve a reliable, predictable front drop.
