Large 5 Stud EMPI Rear Brake Disc - For EMPI Disc Brake Conversion (Short Axle)

This rear brake disc is designed specifically for Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia models equipped with the EMPI Wide 5 Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit (5×205 PCD). It provides smooth, reliable braking performance and a clean, modern braking surface while maintaining the vintage Wide 5 wheel fitment.

Manufactured from high-quality cast iron, this solid 9.5mm thick disc offers excellent heat dissipation and durability under demanding conditions. The disc has an outer diameter of 278mm and is precision-machined to ensure perfect balance and even braking response across both wheels.

This disc fits both of the following EMPI conversion kits:

• Pre-1967 Models – AC6982905

• 1968–72 Models – AC6982906 (requires spacers)

For installations on long splined swing axle or IRS rear suspensions, the use of rear axle spacer AC6155281 is required to achieve correct alignment and clearance. Early Beetles with short axle setups do not require this spacer.

This disc is a direct replacement for worn or damaged units within EMPI kits, restoring proper braking function and maintaining safety and performance.
