Baywindow Bus Wheel Stud - 1971-79 + T25 Rear Wheel Stud - 56mm Long

This 14mm press-in wheel stud is designed for secure and reliable wheel mounting on classic VW vans, including Bay Window and T25 models. Manufactured from high-strength steel, it provides the durability required to handle repeated wheel changes and the stresses of everyday driving.

Press-in wheel studs are fitted from the rear of the hub and feature a splined shoulder that locks firmly into place when pressed in. This prevents rotation when tightening wheel nuts, ensuring consistent torque and safe wheel retention. The 56mm length (measured from the seat to the end of the thread, including splines) provides the correct engagement for standard steel wheels and many aftermarket alloys.

With an M14 thread and 1.5mm pitch, this stud is designed to work with matching wheel nuts. Over time, original studs can become worn, stretched, or damaged due to over-tightening or corrosion. Replacing them restores proper thread engagement and ensures safe, even clamping force across the wheel.

Installation requires pressing the stud into the rear of the hub using a suitable press or installation tool. It is recommended to check the condition of the hub splines and always use correct wheel nuts during fitting. For best results, replace studs in sets where wear is evident.
