EMPI Rear Disc Brake Conversion Brake Caliper - Left

This rear left brake caliper is a direct replacement unit for vehicles fitted with EMPI rear disc brake conversion kits AC6982870 and AC6982871. It is designed specifically for these EMPI kits and will not fit standard VW rear disc or drum brake setups.

The rear brake caliper plays an important role in maintaining correct braking balance and vehicle stability. When the brake pedal is applied, hydraulic pressure forces the caliper piston to clamp the brake pads against the rear brake disc, slowing the wheel and helping stabilise the vehicle under braking. On EMPI rear disc conversions, correct caliper operation is essential to prevent uneven braking, dragging brakes, or premature pad wear.

This caliper is supplied as a replacement unit only and is intended for customers maintaining or refurbishing an existing EMPI rear disc conversion. It is a high-quality new caliper and is not ECE approved, making it suitable for classic builds, off-road use, kit cars, and applications where E-mark approval is not required.
