1303 Beetle Shock Absorber Insert For Front Adjustable Strut (AC4129627) - 1974-79 (2 Bolt)

Oil filled front shock absorber insert for Volkswagen 1303 Beetles from August 1973 to July 1975 and all 1303 Cabriolet models from August 1973 to the end of production fitted with aftermarket lowered adjustable front struts.

Designed specifically for use with adjustable strut housings such as AC4129627, this insert provides controlled damping and improved ride quality on lowered suspension setups. Oil filled dampers offer a more compliant and comfortable ride compared to firmer gas shock absorbers, making them ideal for road-driven lowered Beetles.

The shock absorber controls suspension movement by damping spring oscillations and maintaining tyre contact with the road surface. Worn inserts can lead to excessive bouncing, poor handling, uneven tyre wear and reduced braking stability. Replacing worn inserts helps restore suspension control and steering feel.

These inserts are intended only for adjustable lowered strut housings and are not suitable for use in standard factory struts.
