Beetle 2" Narrowed Anti Roll Bar - 1966-79

Designed specifically for narrowed front beam setups, this heavy-duty 2″ narrowed anti-roll bar kit is the perfect upgrade for improving handling and cornering stability on ball joint Type 1 front suspension systems.

When a front beam is narrowed (commonly for custom stance or wheel clearance), the original anti-roll bar no longer fits correctly. This kit is engineered to suit 2″ narrowed beams, restoring proper anti-roll functionality while significantly improving chassis control.

Manufactured from solid 3/4″ thick steel, this uprated anti-roll bar works by linking both front suspension arms together. As the vehicle corners, body roll transfers weight to the outside wheel—this bar resists that movement by transferring load across the axle, keeping the car flatter and improving tyre contact with the road. The result is sharper handling, improved grip and increased driver confidence, especially in fast corners.

Supplied with red urethane bushes, this kit offers improved durability over standard rubber while maintaining controlled compliance. Urethane reduces unwanted flex in the mounting points, allowing the anti-roll bar to react more precisely to suspension movement.

How It Works
The anti-roll bar connects the left and right suspension arms. During cornering, it twists to resist the difference in suspension movement between both sides, helping keep the vehicle level. This improves traction and reduces excessive leaning, particularly important on modified or lowered vehicles.
