Beetle Drop Spindle Kit - 1966-79 - For Use With 4 Stud Brake Drums - Zero Offset

Heavy-duty forged drop spindle set for ball joint front suspension Beetles and Karmann Ghias fitted with front drum brakes. Designed to lower the front suspension approximately 2½ inches (63mm) while retaining near-original suspension geometry and ride quality.
These forged zero offset drop spindles are one of the easiest and best ways to lower your aircooled Volkswagen without drastically affecting suspension travel or ride comfort. Unlike lowered torsion bars or adjusters, the suspension arms and shock absorber operating range remain close to standard, meaning shorter shock absorbers are not normally required.
The zero offset design maintains the original front track width and greatly reduces the steering geometry and tyre clearance issues commonly associated with cheaper cast or offset drop spindle designs. The forged construction also provides excellent strength and dimensional accuracy for improved handling and durability.
These spindles are designed specifically for drum brake applications only and are supplied as a pair.
Many owners choose to upgrade to gas shock absorbers when retaining tall standard tyres to help reduce the possibility of tyre scrub on lowered vehicles.
