Beetle Drum Brake Drop Spindle Kit - 1950-65 - Zero Offset

These drop spindles are the simplest and most effective way to lower the front end of your classic Volkswagen Beetle or Karmann Ghia fitted with King & Link Pin front suspension (up to 1965). Designed specifically for drum brake models, they lower the car by approximately 2½ inches (63mm) simply by replacing your factory spindles with these dropped versions—no cutting, no welding, and no change to the suspension geometry.
Because the shock absorber mounting position remains unchanged, your original ride quality is retained. This means you do not need to fit shorter shocks. Many owners, however, choose to upgrade to gas shocks to help control tyre scrub when using tall stock tyres on a lowered front end.
Built as quality reproduction components, these spindles maintain the correct mounting points, steering arm geometry, and drum brake fitment. They use standard wheel bearings, making installation straightforward and ensuring long-term reliability.

1) Yes it will sit at stock height. 2) These are only available to run with drum brakes which you will find on our website HERE. 3) You will need to set the car at its correct height and then measure the shock length you need. Most probably you will need longer shocks depending on which KYB shock you have currently installed.
