EMPI Single Quiet Pack Exhaust System - Type 1 Engines (Not 1200cc)

EMPI Single Quiet Pack exhaust system in black for 1300cc-1600cc Type 1 aircooled engines fitted to Volkswagen Beetles and Karmann Ghias. This classic performance exhaust system combines improved exhaust flow with quieter operation, making it ideal for daily driven aircooled Volkswagens and mild performance engines.

The system includes a small flange 1 3/8″ header, black oval quiet pack silencer, and chrome tailpipe. The quiet pack muffler design uses perforated internal tubing and sound absorption material to reduce exhaust noise while maintaining low back pressure for improved engine breathing and performance.

Designed primarily for Beetles and Karmann Ghias, this exhaust follows the curved rear body shape of Beetles. It can also be fitted to Splitscreen and Baywindow buses without rear bumpers, although the tailpipe angle sweeps rearward due to the Beetle-style design.

Compared to restrictive stock exhaust systems, the Single Quiet Pack provides improved exhaust scavenging, better throttle response, and a deeper sporty exhaust tone without excessive noise levels. A popular upgrade for standard 1300cc, 1500cc and 1600cc engines as well as mild street performance builds.

The system is supplied with fitting hardware, exhaust gaskets, and 1 metre of aluminium air hose for heater connection installation.

Please note the black coating is a temporary transport/storage paint only and is not heat resistant. As with most aftermarket exhaust systems, the paint will burn off after installation. For maximum durability we strongly recommend stripping and repainting the system using quality VHT high temperature exhaust paint.
