Beetle EMPI Sideflow Exhaust Muffler

Performance sideflow rear exhaust system designed for use with EMPI 4 into 1 exhaust headers on aircooled VW Type 1 engines. Manufactured from steel with a black protective coating and finished with a polished stainless steel tailpipe for a classic performance appearance.

The sideflow design improves exhaust gas flow compared to standard restrictive muffler systems, helping engines breathe more efficiently while producing a deeper sporty exhaust note. Designed to bolt onto EMPI style 4 into 1 headers, this exhaust is suitable for both standard and performance Type 1 based engines used in Beetles, Karmann Ghias, Splitscreen Buses, Buggies and Baja builds.

Ideal for Cal Look, street performance and custom aircooled VW applications where improved flow and aggressive styling are desired.

Please Note:

• Will not fit Type 3 models due to rear body and engine clearance restrictions
• Will not fit Baywindow Buses due to clearance issues
• Modification to the rear valance or rear bumper may be required on Splitscreen Buses
• Black transport paint is designed as a protective coating only and may burn off during use. We recommend repainting with quality high-temperature exhaust paint before installation

We recommend fitting with new exhaust gaskets, clamps and mounting hardware when installing a new exhaust system.
