Beetle Heat Riser Block Off Plates

These heat riser block-off plates are designed to seal the exhaust manifold heat riser flanges when the original intake pre-heat system is no longer used. Supplied as a pair, they are a must-have when installing twin carburettor kits or aftermarket inlet manifolds.

On standard aircooled engines, the heat riser system channels hot exhaust gases through the inlet manifold to improve fuel atomisation and reduce carb icing. When converting to twin carbs or performance setups, this system is removed, leaving open ports on the exhaust. These plates securely blank off those ports, preventing exhaust leaks and maintaining correct exhaust flow.

Manufactured for a tight, reliable seal, they help eliminate unwanted noise, loss of performance and exhaust fumes escaping into the engine bay. A simple but essential finishing component for any clean and professional twin carb or performance exhaust installation.

For fitting, you may also require gaskets, mounting hardware and high-temperature sealant depending on your exhaust/header setup.
