Solex PDSIT Carburettor Rebuild Kit (Type 3 + Type 4 Engines)

This carburettor repair kit is designed to rebuild original Solex twin carburettors fitted to Volkswagen Type 3 and Type 4 engines. Suitable for Solex 32 PDSIT-2, 32 PDSIT-3, 34 PDSIT-2 and 34 PDSIT-3 carburettors, this kit provides the essential gaskets and seals required to restore one carburettor to proper working condition.

Twin carburettor setups rely on accurate sealing and balanced airflow to deliver smooth engine performance. Over time, gaskets harden, seals shrink, and fuel passages can leak or become inefficient. This can lead to poor idling, fuel leaks, hesitation, and reduced engine efficiency. Rebuilding the carburettor with fresh gaskets and seals restores correct fuel metering and helps bring the engine back to smooth, reliable operation.

This kit includes all the necessary sealing components to strip and rebuild a single carburettor. As these engines typically run twin carburettors, two kits are required per engine for a complete overhaul. Once rebuilt and correctly balanced, the carburettors will deliver improved throttle response, smoother idle, and better fuel efficiency.

Designed for stock carburettor setups, this kit is ideal for maintenance, restoration, or resolving running issues caused by worn seals. During installation, it is recommended to clean all internal passages thoroughly and check additional components such as float valves, diaphragms, throttle shafts, and jets for wear. For best results, carburettors should be synchronised after fitting to ensure balanced operation across both units.

T2 Bay 1972-1979 – 1.7, 1.8, 2.0 Type 4 engine (twin carb models)

For twin carburettor engines, 2 kits are required per vehicle.
