Twin EMPI 34 EPC carburettor kit for aircooled VW Type 1 single port engines from 1300cc to 1600cc. A popular performance upgrade designed to improve throttle response, drivability and overall engine performance while still maintaining good fuel economy for road use.
Twin carburettor setups provide each side of the engine with a more balanced air and fuel mixture compared to the original single carburettor arrangement. This improves airflow into the engine, helping produce smoother acceleration, improved throttle response and better mid-range performance.
The EMPI 34 EPC carburettors are based around the traditional dual single throat carburettor design, making them ideal for fast road engines, campers, Buggies and daily driven aircooled Volkswagens.

Fitting Notes
- Fits Type 1 single port engines only
- Will NOT fit 1200cc engines
- Suitable for 1300cc–1600cc single port engines
- Engines over 1776cc will require re-jetting
- Rolling road tuning and carb balancing strongly recommended for best performance
- Correct fuel pressure should always be maintained
