Baywindow Bus Cylinder Head Lower Tinware - Right - Type 4 Engines

Heavy-duty black lower cylinder cooling tin for the right-hand side of Volkswagen Type 4 aircooled engines.

Proper engine tinware is critical to the cooling performance and reliability of any aircooled Volkswagen engine. This lower right cylinder cooling tin is designed to direct cooling air efficiently around the cylinder barrels and cylinder heads, helping maintain consistent operating temperatures and protecting the engine from damaging hotspots.

Developed by EMPI using modern 3D scanning technology, CAD modelling and extensive test fitting, this all-new reproduction offers an excellent fit and finish compared to worn or damaged original parts. Manufactured from robust 1mm thick sheet steel and finished in durable semi-gloss black paint, it provides long-lasting protection while restoring the factory cooling system to full efficiency.

The tin incorporates M6 x 1.0 welded mounting nuts for secure installation and includes factory-style apertures for spark plugs and cylinder head temperature sensors. Supplied blanking caps allow unused openings to be sealed, preventing cooling air loss and ensuring maximum airflow reaches the cylinder head cooling fins.

Compatible with both original Type 4 cylinder heads and EMPI Super Vee performance cylinder heads, this cooling tin is ideal for standard rebuilds, restorations and high-performance engine projects.
