Volkswagen Air-cooled engines need all the help they can get when it comes to cooling the engine. if you are suffering from a hot engine then these could be the answer to your problems.
Originally fitted to Type 3 engines to increase the airflow around the cylinder heads these Type 3 Cool Tins can be fitted to the underside of the barrels between the cylinder heads and the crankcase.
Once installed they help to direct the airflow around the bottom of the barrels.
Although orrignally deisnged for the Type 3 these can be installed onto any 1300cc, 1500cc or 1600cc aircooled VW engine fitted into Beetles, Karmann Ghia`s Splitscreen or Baywindow Buses.
Please note: These will not fit 1200cc engines due to the width of the engine but can be modified with a bit of bending and cutting.
