Fanshroud Air Outlet Plugs (Aftermarket Fanshrouds)

Pair of steel formed fan housing plugs designed to block off the heater hose outlets on aftermarket aircooled VW fan shrouds when the original heater system is no longer being used. These plugs are ideal for engines running aftermarket fan housings or fan shrouds where the heater hoses have been removed but the fan housing still has the original air outlet openings.
Manufactured from formed steel, these caps fit neatly into the fan housing outlets to prevent cooling air escaping from the shroud. Blocking the outlets helps maintain airflow direction through the cylinder head and oil cooler system rather than allowing cooling air to escape unused through the heater duct openings.
These are commonly used on performance engines, off-road cars, Cal Look Beetles and custom aircooled VW builds where heater boxes and heater hoses have been deleted.
For best cooling performance, we recommend drilling an 8mm hole in the centre of each cap before installation. This helps relieve excess internal fan shroud pressure and assists balanced airflow distribution within the cooling system.
