Type 1 Oil Filler Breather Tower

High-performance oil filler breather tower designed to replace the standard oil filler on Type 1 aircooled engines. Mounted directly onto the alternator stand, this unit provides improved crankcase ventilation while relocating the oil filler to a more accessible position—especially beneficial on vans and tight engine bays.

During engine operation, crankcase pressure builds from blow-by gases passing the piston rings. Without proper ventilation, this pressure can force oil past seals and gaskets. This breather tower solves that by allowing vapours to escape while separating and returning oil back into the engine, maintaining correct internal pressure and reducing oil leaks.

Manufactured from durable cast aluminium with a finned cover for improved heat dissipation, the tower features an internally baffled design. This ensures oil vapour is condensed and returned to the crankcase, while clean air is vented through the breather outlets.

Equipped with multiple breather connections, this unit allows you to route hoses from the crankcase and rocker covers to air filters or a breather system, helping to keep the engine clean and running efficiently.

The integrated filler cap provides a practical and accessible oil filling point, particularly useful on vehicles where the original filler is obstructed.
