Type 1 Manton Chromoly Cut To Length Pushrod Set

High performance Manton Hi-Rev™ seamless chromoly push rod set for all aircooled VW Type 1 engines. Manufactured from heavy-duty 4140 chromoly tubing with heat-treated carbon steel ball ends, these pushrods are designed for high RPM and extreme valve train loads found in performance and racing engines.

These extra-long pushrods are supplied at 11.5″ (292.1mm) and must be cut to the correct length during engine assembly to achieve accurate valve train geometry. They are ideal for engines fitted with performance camshafts, ratio rockers, high lift cams, heavy-duty valve springs and aftermarket cylinder heads.

Unlike standard aluminium pushrods, these 3/8″ chromoly pushrods provide greatly increased strength and reduced flex under high spring pressures, helping maintain accurate valve timing and improved valve control at high RPM. The seamless 4140 chromoly construction combined with heat-treated tips ensures long service life and reliable seating in both lifter and rocker arm cups under extreme operating conditions.

These pushrods are supplied with a dry oil protective coating on the contact surfaces for added corrosion protection during storage and installation. Due to the stronger chromoly construction, they may produce slightly more valve train noise than standard stock pushrods.

We recommend checking pushrod tube clearance and using a pushrod length measuring tool when setting up custom engine combinations.
