Rocker Stand Shim Set (4x 0.015", 4x 0.030", 4x 0.060") - Type 1 Engines

Rocker stand shim assortment kit for aircooled VW Type 1 engines. This kit includes a selection of the most commonly used rocker stand shims for accurately setting rocker arm geometry during engine assembly and valve train setup.

Correct rocker geometry is essential on all aircooled VW engines, particularly when fitting performance camshafts, ratio rockers, aftermarket cylinder heads, custom pushrods or altered deck heights. These shims install beneath the rocker shaft stands to raise the rocker assembly and achieve the correct rocker arm angle throughout the valve lift cycle.

Using the correct shim combination helps improve valve train efficiency, reduces side loading on the valve guides and helps prevent premature wear to rocker arms, valves and guides. This assortment kit allows fine adjustment and is ideal for engine builders and performance workshops setting up both standard and modified engines.

Supplied with multiple shim thicknesses for easy geometry correction and tuning.
