This Low Profile Socket Head Camshaft Gear Bolt Kit by Engle is a premium-quality set of three specially designed cam gear bolts engineered to provide extra clearance where standard bolts can cause interference.
On certain engines—particularly Type 4 aircooled VW engines—the standard hex-head bolts can come into contact with the oil pump, leading to binding or jamming issues. Engle’s low-profile socket head (Allen) bolts solve this problem by offering a flatter head design that ensures smooth clearance and safe operation without compromising on strength.
These bolts are manufactured from high-grade steel for excellent durability and torque retention under high-performance conditions. Each bolt is designed to be installed with a quality Allen key and secured with Loctite thread locking compound to prevent loosening during engine operation.
Ideal for performance engine builds, camshaft upgrades, or any application where additional clearance is required between the cam gear and oil pump.
