Low profile camshaft gear bolt and washer set for Volkswagen Type 1 aircooled engines fitted with aftermarket 3-bolt camshaft gears. Designed to provide additional clearance between the cam gear bolts and high performance oil pumps.
When fitting larger aftermarket oil pumps, stroker engine combinations or performance camshaft setups, standard cam gear bolts can interfere with the oil pump body. These specially designed low profile bolts feature a reduced head thickness to maximise clearance and help prevent contact between the camshaft gear and oil pump.
A simple but essential upgrade for many performance engine builds, helping to eliminate clearance issues during assembly and ensuring reliable engine operation.
Manufactured from high strength steel and supplied complete with matching washers.
