Clip On Aluminium Rocker Covers - Type 1 Engines, Waterboxer Engines

These premium aluminium rocker covers are one of our most popular upgrades for classic air-cooled Volkswagens. Designed to fit all 1200–1600cc Type 1 engines, each cover is precision die-cast for a perfect fit and finished to a high-lustre shine that looks superb in any engine bay.

The full-length finned design provides excellent heat dissipation, helping your engine maintain cooler, more stable operating temperatures. The fins also reinforce the overall structure, improving strength and long-term durability.

Inside, additional clearance has been engineered to accommodate high-lift rockers—ideal for uprated or performance engines running ratio rockers or heavier-duty valve gear. This ensures reliable operation without compromising the sealing surface.

Supplied as a matched pair, the kit includes chrome retaining clips and two quality gaskets for straightforward installation. While nothing extra is required to fit these covers, we always recommend fresh gaskets for a dependable, leak-free seal.
