Clutch Alignment Tool - Type 4 Engines

Clutch alignment tool designed for Volkswagen Type 4 aircooled engines including 1700cc, 1800cc, and 2000cc applications. This simple but essential workshop tool helps accurately centre the clutch friction disc during clutch installation, making engine refitting far easier and reducing installation time.

The tool fits through the clutch disc and locates into the centre of the crankshaft pilot bearing area, aligning the clutch plate perfectly with the gearbox input shaft. Correct clutch alignment is essential when reinstalling the engine, as even slight misalignment can make it extremely difficult to mate the engine to the gearbox.

Ideal for home mechanics, restorers, and professional workshops working on Baywindow and early T25 aircooled models fitted with Type 4 engines. Helps eliminate unnecessary stress and frustration during clutch replacement and engine installation work.

Suitable for standard and most aftermarket clutch assemblies used on Type 4 engines.

Please note this tool is for Type 4 engines only.
For 1300cc-1600cc Type 1 engines a different alignment tool is required.
