1/2" Drive 46mm Rear Axle Hub Nut Tool

Heavy duty 46mm rear axle nut removal tool, commonly known as a “Whacker Thwacker”, designed to remove and install stubborn rear axle nuts on Volkswagen Bus and Transporter models.

Rear axle nuts are tightened to extremely high torque settings and can often be difficult to remove using conventional tools. This specialist tool fits securely over the 46mm axle nut and allows it to be loosened either by striking the tool with a hammer or mallet, or by using a ½” drive ratchet with an extension bar for additional leverage.

An essential workshop tool for rear brake, wheel bearing, driveshaft and transmission servicing on vehicles fitted with 46mm rear axle nuts.
