Crankshaft and flywheel drill fixture for accurately drilling Volkswagen Type 1 crankshafts and flywheels for 8 dowel pin conversion setups. Designed to ensure precise alignment and correct positioning when upgrading from the standard 4 dowel arrangement to a stronger 8 dowel configuration.

An 8 dowel conversion is a common performance upgrade on aircooled VW engines, helping improve the connection between the crankshaft and flywheel under increased horsepower and torque loads. This reduces the risk of flywheel movement, dowel pin wear or crankshaft damage often associated with high performance engines, heavy clutches or hard launches.

This fixture allows accurate drilling of both the crankshaft and flywheel to maintain correct dowel alignment and fitment. Ideal for engine builders, machine shops and performance engine assembly work.
