Porsche 911,914 Front Brake Caliper - 1965-75 - Right (ATE)

This front right brake caliper is the correct ATE “M” type, 2-piece design, as fitted to a range of Porsche Classic models using vented front brake discs. It is a direct-replacement caliper manufactured to original specifications and is suitable for period-correct restorations, upgrades, and safety-critical repairs.

The ATE “M” caliper is a two-piece fixed caliper, originally developed to provide improved braking performance over earlier solid-disc setups. When the brake pedal is applied, hydraulic pressure acts on the internal pistons, clamping the brake pads evenly against the vented brake disc. The vented disc design allows heat to dissipate more efficiently, reducing brake fade during repeated or high-load braking—an important upgrade on higher-performance 911 models.

This caliper is designed only for use with vented front brake discs and does not fit Porsche 912 models. Correct piston sizing, pad location, and mounting geometry ensure predictable braking response, stable pedal feel, and even pad wear.

Manufactured to ATE original standards, this caliper features correct casting design, accurate machining, and high-quality seals to prevent leaks and corrosion. It bolts directly to the original mounting points and connects to the factory brake hose without modification.

Important Fitment Notes

ATE “M” calipers are side-specific and must be matched correctly left to right.

Restoration & Installation Notes
