G4 Rear Brake Disc (256mm Vented)

This replacement rear brake disc is designed for a wide range of Mk4 platform Volkswagen models, fitted with 256mm externally vented rear brakes. It is suitable for vehicles with PR codes 1KU, 1KY, 2EE, 2EL or E54, offering dependable braking performance and effective heat management at the rear axle.

With a 256mm outer diameter and 22mm thickness, this disc features an externally vented design, which improves cooling compared to a solid rear disc. This helps maintain consistent braking performance, particularly on higher-powered models or vehicles that see frequent motorway use.

The disc is supplied with a protective anti-corrosion coating, helping to prevent rust on non-friction surfaces during storage and after installation, while still allowing the braking face to bed in correctly.

How it works

When braking, the rear caliper clamps the pads against the disc to provide controlled deceleration and vehicle stability. The externally vented construction allows heat generated during braking to dissipate more efficiently, supporting the front braking system and helping to maintain balanced braking under load.
