G4 Front Brake Disc (312mm Vented)

This replacement front brake disc is designed for vehicles fitted with the 312mm front brake setup, commonly found on higher-spec and performance-oriented models across the Mk4 platform. It is suitable for vehicles with PR code 1LJ (and related brake codes where specified), providing strong, consistent braking performance.
With a 312mm outer diameter and 25mm thickness, this is a vented brake disc, designed to manage heat effectively during repeated or heavy braking. The internal ventilation vanes draw cooling air through the disc as it rotates, helping to reduce brake fade and maintain stable braking performance—especially important on more powerful petrol models and heavier vehicles.
The disc is supplied with a protective anti-corrosion coating, helping to prevent rust during storage and after fitting, while allowing the braking surface to bed in correctly during normal use.
How it works
When the brake pedal is applied, the caliper clamps the pads against the rotating disc, converting the vehicle’s kinetic energy into heat through friction. The vented internal structure allows this heat to dissipate more efficiently than a solid disc, improving braking consistency and extending the life of both the disc and brake pads.
