This rear lower front control arm is a critical component of the sophisticated multi-link rear suspension system fitted to the Porsche Macan. Mounted on the left-hand side of the rear axle (passenger side on RHD vehicles), it helps control wheel movement, maintain suspension geometry and ensure precise handling characteristics under acceleration, braking and cornering.

The control arm connects the wheel carrier to the rear suspension subframe and works alongside the other suspension links to keep the rear wheel correctly aligned throughout its travel. Worn bushes or a damaged arm can lead to knocking noises, uneven tyre wear, rear-end instability, poor wheel alignment and reduced handling performance.
