G1 Door Handle Seal (Small)

Small exterior door handle seal used with the larger gasket 171837211A to correctly seal the handle against the door skin. This gasket helps prevent water, dirt, and road grime from getting behind the handle, protecting the paintwork and door mechanism while restoring a neat factory-style fit.

It is especially useful when replacing or refitting door handles, as old seals often become hard, split, flattened, or missing. A fresh gasket helps the handle sit correctly and reduces the chance of movement, rattles, or moisture entering the door.

For Mk1 Golf models from chassis number 177 3131 766 onwards, this small gasket fits rear door handles where the handle part number starts with 173. It should be used together with the larger door handle gasket 171837211A.
