Mk1 Sharan Front Brake Disc (288mm Vented)

This front internally vented brake disc is a direct replacement for all Volkswagen Sharan I models built from September 1995 to March 2010, covering both petrol and diesel engine variants.

With a 288mm outer diameter and 25mm thickness, this disc is designed to deliver reliable braking performance for everyday driving and fully loaded vehicle use. The internally vented design helps dissipate heat more effectively than solid discs, reducing brake fade and maintaining consistent stopping power during repeated braking.

The disc is supplied with a protective anti-corrosion coating, helping to prevent surface rust during storage and installation. Once fitted, the braking surface beds in quickly with new pads to provide smooth, predictable braking response.

This disc fits both left-hand (passenger side) and right-hand (driver’s side) positions. Although sold individually, we always recommend replacing front brake discs in pairs to ensure balanced braking and even pad wear.

How it works

When braking, the caliper clamps the brake pads against the rotating disc to slow the vehicle. The internal ventilation channels draw cooling air through the disc as it spins, helping to control temperatures and maintain braking efficiency.

For best results, we recommend fitting this disc together with:

• New front brake pads

• Checked or renewed caliper guide pins

• Correctly torqued wheel bolts
