G7 Front Brake Caliper (276mm Brake Discs) - Right (ATE)

This front right (driver side on RHD vehicles) brake caliper is a direct-fit replacement for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 models fitted with PR code 1ZF braking systems. Designed to work with 276 mm vented front brake discs with a 24 mm thickness, this caliper restores safe, smooth and predictable braking performance to factory standards.

The caliper is a single-piston floating type, manufactured to suit ATE brake systems as originally fitted by Volkswagen. Using a 57 mm piston, the caliper applies even clamping force across the brake pads, ensuring consistent pad wear, strong stopping power and stable braking feel under both everyday driving and emergency braking situations.

What this brake caliper does

The front brake caliper is responsible for converting hydraulic pressure from the brake master cylinder into mechanical clamping force. When the brake pedal is pressed, brake fluid pushes the piston inside the caliper outward. This forces the inner brake pad against the disc, while the floating caliper body slides to pull the outer pad into contact at the same time. The result is balanced braking force on both sides of the disc for controlled, efficient deceleration.
