G7 Rear Brake Caliper (310mm Brake Discs) - Left (ATE)

This rear brake caliper – left-hand side is a direct replacement for electric parking brake (EPB) equipped vehicles using 310mm vented rear brake discs. Manufactured for ATE braking systems, it is designed to restore correct braking performance, smooth pad wear, and reliable electronic handbrake operation.

RHD note: On right-hand-drive vehicles, Left = Passenger Side.

What this brake caliper does

The rear brake caliper converts hydraulic pressure into braking force via a 42mm single piston, clamping the brake pads onto the rear disc to slow the vehicle and maintain braking balance. Although the front brakes provide most of the stopping power, the rear calipers are essential for stability, ABS/ESC function, and confident high-speed braking.

On vehicles fitted with an electric parking brake, the caliper also works with the EPB motor to electronically apply and release the handbrake. A faulty or seized caliper can cause uneven pad wear, dragging brakes, overheating, or EPB warning lights—making correct replacement critical.

Designed for vented 310mm rear discs, this caliper supports improved heat dissipation on more powerful petrol and diesel models.
