Type 1 Flat Oil Pump Cover - 8mm Studs

Aftermarket flat oil pump cover plate for aircooled VW Type 1 engines, Type 25/T3 CT 1600cc engines and Waterboxer 1900cc and 2100cc engines fitted with 8mm oil pump studs.
This flat style oil pump cover is manufactured from durable 8mm steel plate and is ideal where additional clearance is required between the oil pump and aftermarket exhaust systems. Unlike deeper cast covers, the slim flat design helps prevent clearance issues commonly encountered with performance headers and custom exhaust setups.
The oil pump cover seals the outer face of the oil pump housing and plays an important role in maintaining correct oil pressure and reliable engine lubrication. A worn, warped or damaged cover can lead to oil leaks and reduced oil system efficiency.
Suitable for use with standard and many aftermarket oil pumps using 8mm studs, this cover plate is a direct replacement for original covers on later Type 1 based engines.
Manufactured from heavy duty steel for strength, durability and reliable sealing performance.
We recommend fitting with a new oil pump gasket and checking oil pump stud length during installation.
