What this brake disc does
Rear brake discs play a vital role in vehicle stability and braking balance. While the front brakes provide the majority of stopping force, the rear discs support controlled deceleration, assist with vehicle balance, and contribute to the operation of electronic safety systems such as ABS and stability control.
When the brake pedal is pressed, the rear caliper clamps the brake pads against the disc surface. The friction generated helps slow the rear wheels in a controlled manner, preventing instability and ensuring even braking across both axles. The solid disc design is ideal for rear axle use, where braking loads and heat generation are lower than at the front.
