T7 Rear Brake Disc (303mm Vented)

This replacement rear brake disc is designed for selected Volkswagen T7-platform vehicles fitted with PR code 1LB. Featuring an internally vented construction, 6-hole fixing, and a protective anti-corrosion coating, this disc is engineered to handle the higher braking loads of modern VW vans and campers while maintaining smooth, consistent braking performance.

What the part does & how it works

The rear brake disc provides the friction surface for the rear disc braking system. When the brake pedal is applied, hydraulic pressure forces the rear brake caliper to clamp the brake pads against both faces of the disc. The resulting friction slows the rear wheels and helps stabilise the vehicle under braking.

The internally vented design allows heat generated during braking to dissipate efficiently through internal cooling vanes. This reduces brake fade during repeated stops, downhill driving, or when the vehicle is heavily loaded—particularly important on California and Crafter models used for touring, work, or towing.

Important fitment note:
This rear brake disc is PR-code specific. It will only fit vehicles with PR code 1LB and is not suitable for other rear brake specifications. Always check the vehicle data sticker or service book before ordering.

Fitting notes

• Supplied individually, however we strongly recommend replacing rear brake discs in pairs to maintain balanced braking and even pad wear.

• Before installation, thoroughly clean both braking surfaces with a good quality brake cleaner, as the disc is coated at manufacture with an anti-oxidising oil for corrosion protection.

• Inspect brake pads, calipers, and brake hoses during fitting and replace any worn or damaged components.

• Correct bedding-in of new discs and pads is recommended for optimum braking performance and longevity.
