Mk1 Crafter Rear Brake Disc (303mm Vented)

This replacement rear brake disc is designed specifically for Volkswagen Crafter I models from April 2006 to December 2016 equipped with PR code 0WF. What the part does & how it works

The rear brake disc provides the friction surface for the rear disc braking system. When the brake pedal is applied, hydraulic pressure forces the rear brake caliper to clamp the brake pads against both sides of the disc. The friction generated slows the wheel and contributes to vehicle stability, particularly during heavy braking or when the vehicle is fully loaded.

The vented construction allows heat to dissipate efficiently through internal cooling channels. This reduces the risk of brake fade, improves braking consistency during repeated stops, and helps extend both disc and brake pad life—an important factor for working vans like the Crafter.

Important fitment note:
This rear brake disc is PR-code specific. It will only fit vehicles with PR code 0WF and is not suitable for PR codes 0WC or 0WL, which use different rear brake disc specifications. Always confirm the PR code on the vehicle data sticker before ordering.

Fitting notes

• Supplied individually, however we strongly recommend replacing rear brake discs in pairs to maintain balanced braking and even pad wear.

• Before installation, clean both braking surfaces thoroughly with a good quality brake cleaner to remove the anti-oxidising oil applied during manufacture.

• Inspect brake pads, calipers, and brake hoses at the same time and replace any worn or damaged components.

• Correct bedding-in of new discs and pads is advised for optimum braking performance.
