Type 25 Sliding Door Handle - 1984-92 LHD Models Only

This external sliding door handle is designed for the right-hand sliding door (Passenger’s side LHD) on the Volkswagen Type 25 Transporter. Supplied complete with lock barrel and two keys, it provides a direct replacement solution for worn, damaged, or seized original handles.

The handle operates the sliding door latch mechanism, allowing the door to open and close securely while also providing integrated locking for vehicle security. Turning the key engages or disengages the internal locking mechanism, preventing unauthorised access. Over time, original handles can suffer from worn barrels, broken mechanisms, or corrosion, leading to sticking, failure to lock, or complete handle breakage.

Manufactured in durable black finish, this handle is built to withstand regular use and exposure to the elements. It is suitable for models from August 1984 onwards, ensuring correct fitment and operation with the later locking system.

For installation, it is recommended to inspect the internal latch mechanism, linkage rods, and retaining clips. Worn or damaged internal components can affect operation, so replacing or servicing these at the same time will ensure smooth and reliable door function.
