T25 Syncro Diff Lock Controller

Replacement differential lock control element for factory-equipped Volkswagen T25/T3 Syncro models.

This differential lock control element is the dashboard-mounted operating knob used to engage and disengage the differential lock system on Volkswagen T25/T3 Syncro vehicles. Fitted to the front of the differential lock control assembly, it allows the driver to manually operate the vacuum-controlled locking differential system when additional traction is required.

The Syncro differential lock system was designed to improve off-road capability and traction in slippery conditions. Pulling or operating the control knob activates the differential lock control valves, which direct vacuum to the differential actuators and engage the locking mechanism. This ensures power is delivered evenly across the axle, helping the vehicle maintain traction on loose, muddy, snowy or uneven terrain.

After years of use, the original control knobs can become worn, damaged, faded or broken. Replacing a damaged control element restores the correct appearance and functionality of the factory differential lock controls, making it an ideal component for both restoration projects and routine repairs.

This control element is used in conjunction with the differential lock valve, retaining plate, mounting holder and associated vacuum control components fitted behind the dashboard.
