Baywindow Bus Engine Lid Seal - 1968-71 - Removable Rear Valance Models

This high-quality reproduction engine lid seal is designed specifically for early Baywindow Buses built from 1968 to 1971 that came with the removable rear valance. Correct sealing around the engine lid is essential on these models, helping to prevent engine fumes, dust and water from entering the engine bay while also maintaining the correct cooling airflow that these air-cooled engines rely on.

Manufactured to the original profile and dimensions, this seal fits securely into the engine lid channel, creating a snug, long-lasting barrier. A worn or perished seal can allow warm air to be recirculated back into the cooling system, leading to rising engine temperatures. Replacing the seal is a simple but important step in keeping your Baywindow running reliably.
