Baywindow Bus Front Spare Wheel Mount Bracket

Allows spare wheel to be mounted externally on the front panel
• Frees up valuable interior storage space
• Classic period-correct camper and touring appearance
• Heavy-duty steel construction for strength and durability

This spare wheel mounting bracket is designed to allow a spare wheel to be securely carried on the front nose panel of VW Baywindow buses from 1970 to 1979. Popular on camper conversions and touring buses, this style of carrier provides easy access to the spare wheel while freeing up valuable space inside the vehicle.

Manufactured from heavy-duty steel, the bracket is designed to support the wheel securely against the front panel while spreading the load across the mounting points. Front-mounted spare wheel carriers became a popular period accessory for long-distance touring and camper conversions, giving buses a distinctive classic appearance.

This bracket is ideal for campers and buses where the original spare wheel location is occupied by camping equipment, storage systems, or lowered suspension setups that make underbody access difficult.

Fitting:
Depending on installation, drilling of the front panel may be required.

Additional parts such as mounting hardware, rubber protection pads, and wheel securing hardware may also be required depending on your installation.
