**NCA** Baywindow Bus Gearbox Mount Kit - 1972-79

Replacement bracket which is located around the nosecone of the gearbox on all Baywindow Buses from August 1971 onwards.

Front gearbox mount yoke to fit Baywindow buses from August 1971 to end of production in 1979.

Note: There are two different front gearbox mounts for late Bay Buses.  One for the 002 gearbox and one for the 091 gearbox.  The difference between the two is that the 002 mount is slightly longer and has a different bend compared to the 091 version.  You can use the 091 mount on a 002 gearbox but you will notice that the forks will only reach about half way through the bracket on the chassis.  This is due to the 002 gearbox being slightly shorter than the later 091 gearbox.  You can easily identify which gearbox you have from the VW number on the side of the gearbox case.  It will either start 002 or 091.  Volkswagen uses the same part number for both the 002 and the 091 gearbox.  The part was simply superseeded when the 091 box was designed.

This gearbox mount is for use on 002 gearboxes only and will not fit the later 091 gearbox as the bend will interfere with the bracket and the chassis.
