G2,G3,G4 Cigarette Lighter

Complete cigarette lighter assembly designed for a wide range of classic and modern VW vehicles. Supplied as a full unit, this includes the lighter element and housing, providing a direct replacement for worn, damaged, or non-functioning original units.

The cigarette lighter socket serves two key purposes. Originally designed as a heating element for lighting cigarettes, it now commonly functions as a 12V power outlet for accessories such as phone chargers, sat navs, compressors, and other in-car devices. When pressed in, the internal element heats up via the vehicle’s electrical system and automatically pops out once ready. The surrounding socket provides a constant or ignition-switched 12V power supply depending on vehicle setup.

A faulty lighter can result in no power to accessories, intermittent operation, or blown fuses. Replacing the complete unit ensures proper electrical contact, safe operation, and reliable power delivery.
